ECTS and Credit Certifications
At TechClass, we are dedicated to providing high-quality education through a variety of programs and training opportunities. Learners can obtain ECTS certificates when enrolled in programs delivered only in collaboration with a Finnish educational organization. These certificates are recognized across the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) as part of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), which facilitates academic credit recognition.
For programs offered independently by TechClass or through some funding sources, we offer credit certifications based on learning hours. In these cases, 27 hours of learning equals 1 credit. Importantly, these credits are calculated based on the actual hours completed, not in predefined credit blocks. For example:
- A training with 27 hours of learning earns 1 credit.
- A training with 54 hours of learning earns 2 credits.
- A training with 81 hours of learning earns 3 credits, and so on.
These certificates are valuable markers of your educational achievement, but they are not equivalent to ECTS credits. Educational institutions may choose to accept these certificates at their discretion, but TechClass does not guarantee their acceptance as ECTS credits since they are different types of certification.
This approach ensures transparency in how credits are calculated, providing learners with a clear understanding of the time commitment and value associated with their training.
