This Privacy Policy describes how we process and secure your personal data related to offering up-to-date online education through TechClass Learning Environment (hereinafter “Portal”). TechClass will process your personal data to provide you courses, which include up-to-date online education, as well as electronic high-quality course materials and respective certificates to the students, who have successfully completed the goals stated for the course taken.

Personal data will be limited to what is necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes defined herein.

7. What Is The Legal Basis For Processing Your Personal Data?
TechClass asks you to provide your consent for processing your personal data, intended for offering online courses through the Portal to which the data subject is interested.

TechClass Portal uses the information you provide through the registration process:

  • To provide the necessary information to accrediting or certifying bodies and other TechClass’ business affiliates (but only in connection with the information and services you request from us)

For example, we may calculate the number of people who use the Website, open our emails, and determine which pages are most popular. We may use your contact details to send you notifications via email about updates on the Portal, provision of electronic materials, or submission of tasks. You can choose whether you want to be notified or not and preferences can be modified at any time on your profile settings page. If you encounter any problems in relation to this or you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us. If you do not wish to receive certain communications from the Portal, you may Opt-Out by declining the service offered or informing us that you no longer wish to receive such communications. We will comply with your request to the extent that such communications are necessary for the administration of your account, required by law, or necessary to protect our rights.

TechClass will use your personal information as necessary to comply with its legal obligations, resolve disputes or problems, enforce its agreements, and as otherwise permitted by applicable valid data protection legislation. TechClass may review the information of multiple users to identify and resolve troubleshoot problems or to resolve disputes.

In addition, we use the information collected automatically through cookies and other tracking technologies for the following purposes:

  • When necessary for system administration, security, and integrity to ensure the Portal works properly for you. Without these technologies, TechClass’ website may not function correctly
  • To obtain general statistics regarding the use of the TechClass website and Portal and its specific web pages in order to personalize our courses and make recommendations
  • To evaluate users’ patterns and behavior while navigating through TechClass’ website and Portal in order to implement state-of-the-art functionalities and other features, improve our courses as well as to enhance your experience by recognizing and remembering whether you have visited the Portal before and may have any personal preferences

  • To support marketing by enabling TechClass to deliver content relevant to your interests on the Portal and third-party sites based on how you interact with TechClass advertisements or content. Some of your personal information may be disclosed to third parties (for example, accrediting bodies for continuing education, such as Universities) in order to provide the services that you request and may be used by both TechClass and third parties to provide that information and/or perform those services. You acknowledge that certain activities may require TechClass to share your personal information, and/or the activity’s results with the associated third-party accreditor or entity providing certification.

TechClass is not responsible for the use of any such information by such third-party accreditor or entity providing certification, including use by any of the same in a manner not intended when such information is disclosed to them.

TechClass will not sell, rent, or lease your personally identifiable information to others. TechClass will not use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without asking for your permission and offering you a choice.

10. How Is Your Data Secured?
TechClass is committed to ensuring the security of your information and the integrity of your fundamental rights and freedoms. In order to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, as well as to ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. These measures will be reviewed and updated when necessary.

How Long Do We Retain Your Personal Data?
Your personal data will be kept for a maximum period of two (2) years after the termination of your registration, after which time it will be deleted from our systems. You may request for your account to be deleted earlier by contacting our Privacy Officer at the email provided.

TechClass guarantees that your data will not be stored, accessed, or processed outside the EU/EEA if you are an EU resident.

TechClass reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy. If we make any changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you of the changes on our website and/or send an email to users who have given us an email address. Please refer to this policy regularly.
