Microsoft Office is considered a proprietary product of Microsoft Corporation, which was first released in 1990. Windows, Mac, and most Linux support MS Office, and users can have Office in 35 different languages. Microsoft Office has six items in the original package, considered the core components. Later, other services like SharePoint, OneDrive, and FontPage (a web design tool) were added. There are six core programs in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, and OneNote. Word processor (Word), spreadsheet (Excel), and the visual presentation tool (PowerPoint) are regarded as the three major Microsoft Office pieces.
