Overview

We seek a Podcast & Media Production Specialist to lead the creation and production of our company’s podcast series. This role involves hosting, recording, editing, and finalizing podcast episodes featuring industry experts, internal company staff, and student success stories. The ideal candidate has experience in podcast production, video editing, and content creation and is comfortable managing technical setups, conducting interviews, and enhancing audio-visual content for maximum engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and host podcast episodes featuring industry experts, internal team members, and students.
• Develop engaging interview scripts and discussion topics.
• Maintain a consistent podcast publishing schedule.
• Set up and operate podcast recording equipment (microphones, mixers, cameras, lighting, etc.).
• Ensure high-quality audio and video production standards.
• Troubleshoot any technical issues related to recordings.
• Edit podcast audio and video content for clarity, sound quality, and engagement.
• Add music, sound effects, and visuals to enhance the listener experience.
• Finalize episodes for publication across multiple platforms (Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, etc.).
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote episodes on social media and company platforms.
• Create short video/audio snippets for promotional purposes.
• Track listener engagement and feedback to improve future episodes.
• Stay up-to-date with podcasting trends and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in podcast production, hosting, or multimedia content creation.
• Strong technical knowledge of recording and editing software.
• Excellent communication and interviewing skills with an engaging presence as a host.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with social media and content distribution strategies.
• Finnish language skills are a plus.
