TechClass Honor Code
The purpose of this Honor Code (“Code”) is to preserve the integrity, credibility, and value of the learning experiences TechClass provides. Everyone who uses the TechClass platform — including learners, instructors, and contributors — is required to comply with this Code, the TechClass Terms of Service, and any additional academic policies, codes of conduct, or institutional requirements associated with specific programs delivered through TechClass.
Academic misconduct undermines the authenticity of learning achievements, devalues the efforts of other learners, and damages the reputation of TechClass and its partners. Any violation of this Code may result in corrective action, including but not limited to suspension, removal from a course or program, revocation of certificates, or denial of refunds.

1. Definitions
1.1 Work Within a TechClass Activity
All activity conducted on the TechClass platform is subject to this Code. This includes, without limitation:
- Logins and account use;
- Exams, quizzes, assessments, peer-review activities, guided projects, and labs;
- Contributions to discussion forums or interactive tools;
- Any off-platform activity directly related to TechClass coursework.
1.2 Unauthorized
“Unauthorized” refers to any activity that violates the TechClass Terms of Service, this Code, applicable course or platform policies, or academic standards of integrity that a reasonable learner would be expected to know. Unauthorized activity may also include unlawful conduct.
2. Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct constitutes academic misconduct. This list is illustrative and not exhaustive.
2.1 Plagiarism
- Copying or reproducing words, ideas, or materials from any source without proper attribution.
- Submitting work prepared or revised by another person as your own.
- Using automated tools — including generative-AI systems such as ChatGPT or similar software — to produce or substantially alter assignments, unless expressly permitted.
- “Self-plagiarism”: submitting the same work across multiple assessments without disclosure and permission.
2.2 Use of Unauthorized Materials
Consulting, accessing, or using unauthorized resources or devices in connection with any TechClass activity, unless expressly permitted by the course instructor or TechClass.
2.3 Unauthorized Collaboration
Working with any other person or entity on an activity unless expressly authorized by the relevant course or assessment instructions.
2.4 Contract Cheating
Paying, trading, or otherwise inducing another person to prepare or submit work on your behalf.
2.5 Impersonation
Any form of misrepresentation of identity, including:
- Logging in as another user to complete work;
- Permitting another user to complete work under your credentials;
- Otherwise misrepresenting the authorship of submitted work.
2.6 Unauthorized Sharing of Resources
- Distributing, posting, or otherwise making available information, solutions, or answers to assignments, quizzes, projects, exams, or other assessments.
- This includes sharing work prepared by you, other learners, outside sources, or solutions provided by course staff or instructors.
2.7 Fraud and Misrepresentation
- Providing false or misleading information regarding the conditions under which work was performed.
- Submitting falsified evidence in connection with requests for accommodations, extensions, or mitigating circumstances.
2.8 Other Misconduct
Engaging in any activity designed to confer an unfair advantage on yourself or another person, or any conduct intended to dishonestly influence, alter, or impair the academic results of yourself or others.
3. Consequences
For all TechClass courses, guided projects, and specializations not associated with a formal university degree program:
- Sanctions are determined by TechClass in its sole discretion, taking into account the nature, severity, and impact of the misconduct, as well as any prior history of violations.
- Possible sanctions include, but are not limited to:
- Warnings or probation;
- Revocation of certificates or credentials;
- Removal from a course or program;
- Termination of TechClass account access.
- No refunds will be provided in connection with sanctions arising from Honor Code violations.
4. Enforcement
Where a potential violation is identified, it is handled through the following process:
Determination
Honor Code violations are determined at the sole discretion of TechClass and/or its academic partners.
Notification
Learners are notified if a determination is made that they have violated this Code, and are informed of the corrective action to be taken.
Finality
Determinations are final and not subject to further appeal within the TechClass platform, except where appeal rights are expressly provided under the applicable policies of the partner institution.
