Google Chat is an intelligent communication and collaboration tool that helps teams improve their functionality and productivity, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic and the rise of remote working worldwide. Even friends and family members can take advantage of this app. Chat is designed for easy business communications as it allows for direct messages, collaboration within teams, sharing documents, and delivering presentations within Workspace. You can send direct Chat messages to individuals or groups to have a private conversation with a colleague or a small group of people, but for long-term conversations, it’s recommended to use chat rooms. Chat is available through different devices and systems, including web, desktop, and mobile devices. Chat sections also appear at the bottom of the Gmail sidebar on the desktop.
